It’s been difficult to blog during the busiest season of my life. I’ve been focusing on delivering product to all my incredible clients. Many of these incredible weddings were so hard to edit and describe sufficiently. Emily and Benjamin’s wedding certainly fit into that category. They had so many incredible moments in their wedding from […]
My favorite image right now. This is what wedding photography is about to me. This subtle lovely celebration photo.I love how the bride and groom are out of focus in the background of the toasting. Not an image you can plan for. Just one of those jewels.
So thrilled to have Town and Country feature Carolina and Bryan’s wedding! For the full story go to http://www.townandcountrymag.com/the-scene/weddings/news/g960/a-traditional-swedish-wedding/?click=_lpTrnsprtr_1
Sometimes I like nothing better than a classic Boston Commons engagement session. Tana & Gordie couldn’t be a sweeter couple if they tried, and after the rain got through storming through the afternoon, the sky opened up for some truly lovely engagement portraits. Thanks you two for a lovely afternoon.
I was so pleased and honored that our local paper, the Sippican Weekly, interviewed me about the Best of Boston win last month. Here’s the lovely article written by the fabulous Georgia Sparling. I’ve pasted in the article here with screen shots, but click on the link for a better read!:) http://sippican.villagesoup.com/p/documenting-joy-marion-wedding-photographer-receives-best-of-boston-honor/1233124
The long awaited “Trash the Tux” portion of Trevor and Jim’s shoot. I was so excited when Trevor told me he wanted to do a take on that “trash the dress” trend (which I thought was really strange) and do a “trash the tux”, which for some reason, just seemed fabulous to me! Enjoy! I know […]
I LOVE when engaged couples think outside the box and get really creative with their shoot. Trevor and Jim came up with the engagement portrait to end all engagement portraits since Trevor is an art director. Trevor’s friends and colleagues, the fabulous Verne (prop stylist) and Tara (art producer) created three distinctly different scenes to photograph to celebrate […]
“It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson Reception coverage is very different from all the other photography that happens before. It’s even more documentary for our style of photography and we spend most of our time dancing back and forth trying […]
I PROMISE there is a huge blogpost in the works about this over the top amazing session, but check out the start of Trevor and Jim’s tennis themed engagement session. just wait until you see the rest of the “Trash the Tux” they did walking into the ocean!
Since I’ve been quoting movies lately, I’ll quote my favorite movie here, Sense & Sensibility, when Emma Thompson describes Colonel Brandon (played by Alan Rickman- swoon) “He is the kindest and best of men.” That is sincerely who Mollie and Bill are: the kindest and best of people. Every single vendor fell in love with […]
I couldn’t believe it when I logged onto my facebook page on Tuesday of this week. People were congratulating me, but what for? I soon learned it was for Boston Magazine’s “Best of Boston” award for Wedding Photographer of 2014. Yikes! Bowl me over. I am over the moon. Thanks to everyone for their support […]
Tom and Caroline’s beautiful wedding reminded me of one of my favorite exchanges between actors in one of my favorite movies of all time, Broadcast News: Tom (William Hurt’s character) : What do you do when your real life exceeds your dreams?Aaron ( Albert Brooks) : Keep it to yourself. It’s hard to keep Tom […]
I love when a couple thinks outside the box for their engagement shoot! I also love how Paloma and Gabe celebrated who they are with their mutual love of comic books/graphic novels! I learned so much from them about the world of graphic novels and had a super time. After learning about how real men […]
A touching beautiful wedding at the Four Seasons in Boston, MA with some amazing vendors. It was an honor to photograph these two beautiful people as they wed. notice the beautiful subtle transparent plaid on this dress! Simply stunning. one of my favorite photos of the bride with her sister. Bride’s Dress: Dennis Basso Florist: […]
The Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA is one of my favorite locations. I so enjoyed doing Lara and Serge’s engagement session there. We laughed so much during this shoot. Thanks so much for a great time you two! I love that Serge had two different socks on! He says it’s his signature. Can’t wait to […]
Caroline and Tom had a rehearsal dinner I have to confess, I want to duplicate. Not that I could pull off the amazing bright orange dress. I also don’t have a fabulous sheet of blonde hair and legs that go on for miles, but that’s another story! However, it’s no secret that our family loves sailing […]
I just had an amazing wedding this past Friday in Dartmouth, MA, but this one particular photograph of the bride and her sisters before the wedding took place really got to me. Of the 7 sisters represented here, I have photographed 5 Bat Mitzvahs and 2 weddings- that’s 7 events in 1 family! I’ve been photographing […]
I was so excited about this wedding I shot in Little Compton, RI a couple weeks ago that I facebooked it immediately and then promptly forgot to blog it! I’m working on a very large post about this amazing wedding, but here are a couple of teasers. You are going to want to come back […]
It’s just like the song says, “In a New York minute, everything can change…” When I arrived at Marrissa & David’s NYC apartment to photograph their engagement session, it began pouring rain out of nowhere, but in a NY minute it was sunny and gorgeous and the sidewalks had that sparkle that happens in NYC […]
Lindsay and Jeff had a fairy tale wedding. I half expected an animated Disney bluebird to appear on the bride’s shoulder some time during the day. Lindsay’s maid of honor in fact described her as a Disney princess and with her adorable, kind, lovely nature, the description could not be more apt. Jeff is quite the lucky […]
I probably haven’t talked about it enough, but tomorrow is the last day of the art show I’ve had at the Marion Art Center along with my husband (who is a wonderful landscape photographer!) . It’s been so fun to show some of my personal work. Sooo, last day to see the show is tomorrow […]
I had a magical engagement shoot with this lovely pair in Newport, RI this Spring and can’t wait for their wedding this summer. I’m sure it will be just as relaxed and fun as they are. Check out the Cherry Blossoms here too! We were on our way to a beach location, but had to […]
When the fabulous James Hansen, event producer at the Boston Public Library, asked me to document Chronicle filming a tasting at the BPL, I jumped at the chance. I’m a huge fan of the BPL, Chronicle, James, the food at the Catered affair and the lovely couple they wanted to profile, the adorable Emily and […]
So pleased to have had a gorgeous engagement session with Jess and Adam at www.castlehillinn.com. It was so fun to visit the setting of their wedding (coming up in July!) with them and talk about all the plans we had for the location. Could I have had a more beautiful, delightful couple to frolic on […]
Spring in the Boston Commons with this lovely group was a delight this week. Many thanks to Bailey the dog who is a perfect gentleman! I wish my dog, Stella could take some lessons from him.
So pleased to have Alexa & Garrett’s wedding on Style Me Pretty today! 🙂 http://www.stylemepretty.com/little-black-book-blog/2014/05/08/monochromatic-newburyport-wedding/
Katie and Sanjeet’s wedding at the Taj was over the top wonderful. It was such an honor to spend the day with two such kind and adorable people on one of the most special days of their lives! Katie and Sanjeet met in Dental School, which is not hard to believe when you see their […]
Sometimes I genuinely love a rain wedding: especially when I have a bride and groom like Katie and Sanjeet who have the best attitude of any bride and groom out there! Stand in the rain? Yes! Let my train travel on the ground behind me for pictues? Yes! Drive all over the city for fabulous […]
Thanks to everyone who attended the opening of the show at the Marion Art Center this past Friday! It was a great attendance. If you haven’t seen the show yet, please attend. It’s up until May 31st. I am showing two series from two different personal projects I’ve been working on over the last few […]
Always so pleased to have an engagement shoot featured on Southern New England Wedding’s blog! Click on the link to see Lindsay & Jeff dancing in the streets! I’ll be photographing their wedding this May on the Cape. Sometimes even a blustery cold March day can equal some jaw-droppingly beautiful photographs. It helps to have a beautiful couple like this who are madly in love. I truly can’t wait for this wedding to happen with such kind, beautiful people: inside and out. Job well done, you two!
I love shooting engagement portraits in NYC and of course the Brooklyn Bridge is one of my favorite places to photograph. I was thrilled when this resonated with Pamela and Chris since it meant another trip walking the Brooklyn Bridge. They were so fun and playful and the shoot was just effortless. Highlights included Chris […]
I was very honored to shoot Sayles Livingston’s ad in Bliss Celebrations magazine this year! Sayles makes these dresses from a mix of real flowers and fabric flowers. It’s spectacular. We had 5 flowergirls cavorting in a field with miniature ponies one beautiful summer day. It’s things like this that make me feel very blessed […]
How to describe this amazing photoshoot that Anne Marie Eddy put on at A. D. Makepeace last Summer? It was over the the top and fun and wild and rainy and ….well, a fantasy. Anne Marie Eddy from Big Sky Tents designed this over the top flowergirl extravaganza. She enlisted my help along with some […]
Emily and Ben’s engagement session part 2 continues after their Valentines Day post: http://corinnaraznikov.com/happy-valentines-day-e-session-boston-ma/ The shoot got unbearably poetic as night fell and the couple wandered through the Commons. A light snow came down as we meandered our way to their wedding location: The Boston Public Library. I can’t wait for this one!
I shot this just last weekend and have been so excited to post the perfect Valentine’s Day Engagement Session! When Emily showed up wearing a red sweater with Hunter Boots and a tulle skirt, I knew it I was going to be in heaven with this shoot. The Boston Commons was a winter wonderland and […]
I love the natural linen albums that Leather Craftsmen have been producing for me. They look so beautiful with the silver imprinting too. Here is a 12″ square for the bride and a 10″ square for the parents. Simple and elegant.
It’s always a treat when magazines ask you to photograph editorial for them. This was an especially fun one at a great location in Boston that many don’t think of: The Museum of Science in Boston. I also got to work with several amazing coordinators and designers. First up was the fabulous Tasha and her […]
It’s always so exciting when the magazine, Grace Ormonde’s Wedding Style picks up one of the weddings I’ve shot – not only because of her great style, but because they only feature 5 weddings in each magazine. Getting 6 pages was amazing though. When I walked into the reception at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in […]
All the wedding magazines are coming out and I realized I need to stay on top of showing the ones I’m in this year. Before I forget, I was so proud and happy to have Tiffany and Mario’s amazing wedding at the Boston Public Library featured in Southern New England Wedding Magazine’s Destination Issue. Southern […]
I couldn’t be happier to have Emily & Jeff’s beautiful Chatham Bars Inn Wedding featured in Southern New England Wedding Magazine. Not only that, but their flowergirl got the back page too. So cute. This was a truly amazing wedding with great vendors. I was very proud to be a part of it. Coordinator: the […]
